  If I could give NO stars, I WOULD!
  
  Sure, in terms of a quality $15 blowout, then okay, this place rocked.
  
  BUT! In terms of a quality personal experience... AWFUL. AWFUL!!!!
  
  I have never felt so humiliated about my hair before in my life. I am a teenage swim instructor/lifeguard with very curly hair from the roots down. When I got to The Merge, I had my hair up in a bun because I had worked all day and my hair felt heavy/hard/frizzy from chlorine.
  
  While I was waiting, the front desk lady called over the stylist who would later blow out my hair and asked me to take my hair out of my bun. It was down for all of 2 seconds before both ladies burst out laughing!!!!! I was shocked!!!! When I asked if anything was wrong, they just kept laughing, stopping only to say "Oh, nothing, just laughing!" They then began to joke about curly hair right in front of me. I asked AGAIN if anything was wrong, this time telling them that I am a swimmer... But, that just made them laugh and joke around even more! :( !!! Their insults made me sick to my stomach!! Finally, after what seemed like forever, the stylist lady just said "Oh, I guess I've just got to prepare for the challenge!" I was stunned by their rude and condescending behavior :( !!!!!
  
  I would have walked out, but my mom was already in the middle of her appointment... (Yes, they really did make fun of me when my mom was right there in the store!!!)
  
  After my blowout, the front desk lady and ALL the other stylists took turns laughing and saying "Wow, what a difference!! Soooooo much better!! Maybe consider straightening your hair?"
  
  I walked out sick to my stomach and embarrassed beyond measure.
  
  That was my FIRST time in The Merge, and I can assure you it was also my LAST.
  
  News flash - not everyone has perfect hair! And it is utterly RIDICULOUS to make anyone feel any less for ROCKING what they have. NEVER going back.
  
  Take an etiquette class, ladies!!
